That’s it. Don’t drink alcohol for 30 days. I know, I know, easier said than done but I’ve done it so you can for sure……

The first time I did this challenge it really opened my eyes to just how much our social lives revolve around alcohol. Happy hours, boozy lunch meetings, dinners with friends, birthday parties, sporting events and on and on and on. Seems like everywhere you turn people are drinking.
The other big surprise was other people’s reactions to me not drinking. Like something was wrong with me or I was being weird by not wanting to drink. I found it FASCINATING. It’s always interesting, to me anyway, to see how people respond to things that are out of the ordinary and as a side effect it turned out to be a great conversation starter.
Couple quick tips:
Stay hydrated – It’ll keep you feeling full, alert and energized.
Have a glass in your hand – If you’re out with friends and really aren’t in the mood to talk about why you’re not drinking just simply having a glass in your hand (even if it’s full of water) will keep the questions away.
